Davilor
The making of the man behind the brand
Branding for the Manchester based, Cameroon origins construction company Davilor
Davilor is no ordinary, Manchester construction company and we set out to tell that story loud and clear as we branded the company around the profile of founder William Sah.
Now an international construction group based in the north of England, the Davilor story began in French Cameroons where William was ‘written off’ by his family, aged seven, because he wasn’t academic.
A childhood tale of Incredible grit, determination, enthusiasm and ingenuity finally brought him to Bolton to study engineering having run his own self-funded farm while still at school in Africa.
A talented, ingenious engineer, William has built a company renowned for its ‘value-engineering’, often challenging a project design and always adding significant value in some of the most difficult projects – with outstanding results.
He looks to leave a legacy in every aspect of his work and drives the company values of respect, leadership, integrity and safety. More than just a construction company, Davilor also has training and youth support arms within its operation.
Everything about Davilor carries the thread of the man behind it. So, we set out to reflect the man as the building block of the brand strategy across:
- Creative strategy
- Logo design
- Brand guide
- Brand collateral
- Web design and development
The logos is based on the Cameroon flag colours and three building blocks to reflect the three arms to the Davilor proposition.
That plays out across the marketing collateral online and also offline on its construction sites all over the UK and internationally.
The brand instantly distinguishes itself from the typical construction company image, just as like the company does in its clever, gutsy, bold and legacy generating way of working.
A big construction hats off William, from all of us at Sherbert Lemon!
